|Chicken broth/Pork broth||8 Cup (128 tbs) (Basic Chinese)|
|Dried mushrooms||4 , softened in water to cover and slivered|
|Ginger root slice||1|
|Dried shrimp||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dried bulk seaweed||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), soaked in water to cover 10 minutes, washed in 3 or 4 changes of water and coarsely chopped|
|Ground pork||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Water chestnuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), diced|
|Chopped green onions||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Combine broth, mushrooms, ginger and shrimp; cover, bring to boil, lower heat and simmer 20 minutes.
Add seaweed, pork and water chestnuts, bring to boil, lower heat and simmer 15 minutes.
Just before serving sprinkle with green onions.
