Curried Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
  Dried green split peas 16 Ounce, rinsed, drained, and picked over (1 Package)
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Boiling water 6 Cup (96 tbs)
  Madras curry powder 2 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Carrots 6 , peeled, chopped
  Celery ribs 2 , chopped
  Seasoned salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon (Or More To Taste)
  Freshly ground pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon (Or More To Taste)
  Chopped canadian bacon 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

1. In a 4- or 5-quart electric slow cooker, mix together all the ingredients except 1/2 tablespoon of the curry powder.
2. Cover and cook on the low heat setting 9 to 10 hours. Stir in the remaining 1/2 tablespoon curry powder. Add more seasoned salt and pepper to taste, if needed.
