Spinach Soup With Dumplings
|Butter||1 Tablespoon (1 Knob)|
|Onion||1 , finely chopped|
|Spinach||10 Ounce (Fresh Or Frozen)|
|All purpose flour/Wheat flour||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Milk||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Celery salt||To Taste|
In a saucepan, melt butter.
Over moderate heat, continue cooking until spinach is tender.
Meanwhile, pour flour into a mixing bowl.
Make a well in the center.
Place egg into the well.
With a fork, mix egg and flour.
Shape into dumplings.
Add milk to cooked spinach.
Stirring constantly, bring milk to a foam.
Add dumplings one at a time.
Remove from heat.
Let stand 5 minutes.
