Old Fashioned Vegetable Bacon Soup

|Bacon slices||3 , cut in half|
|Green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), slivered|
|Frozen condensed old fashioned vegetable with beef soup||10 1⁄4 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Water||10 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Soup Can)|
|Tarragon||1⁄8 Teaspoon, crushed|
Cook bacon until crisp; remove and crumble.
Pour off all but about 1 tablespoon drippings; add green pepper and cook 2 or 3 minutes over low heat.
Stir in soup, water, and tarragon.
Heat until soup is thawed; stir often.
Garnish with bacon.
