|Cabbage||1 Small, grated|
|Potatoes||2 , peeled and diced|
|Green coloring||1 Teaspoon|
Boil the cabbage and potatoes in six cups of water.
Remove from the fire and rub through a sieve.
Add butter and a pinch of salt.
Simmer for five or six minutes.
Thicken with one tablespoon of flour, if desired.
Add milk and coloring.
Just before serving, add pieces of fried bread.
