Creamy Garlic Soup
|Garlic||8 Clove (40 gm), crushed in a garlic press or minced|
|Basil||1⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Black pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Beef broth||6 Cup (96 tbs)|
|Boiling water||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
Cook garlic in hot butter in a heavy saucepan until golden, stirring occasionally.
Stir in a mixture of flour, basil, salt, and pepper; heat until bubbly.
Gradually add broth and water, stirring constantly.
Bring rapidly to boiling and cook 2 minutes.
Remove from heat; cool.
