|Green gooseberries||2 Pound|
|Caster sugar||6 Ounce|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Pint|
|Lemon||1 , juiced|
|Green food color||1|
|White rum||2 Tablespoon|
1. Wash the gooseberries and cook them with sugar and water.
2. Add the lemon juice and a little green coloring to the gooseberries and the sieve the mixture. Set this mixture to chill till it becomes a thick batter.
3. Pour in the Maraschino and rum and beat well till it is completely chilled.
4. Serve cold and pack it in waxed or rigid plastic containers for later use
