Plum Wine Sorbet
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Port wine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Plums||1 1⁄2 Pound, pitted and halved|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
Combine sugar and wine in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat; let cool.
Position knife blade in food processor bowl; add plums and lemon juice.
Top with cover, and process until smooth.
Combine plum mixture and sugar syrup, stirring well.
Pour mixture into an 8-inch square pan.; freeze until almost firm.
Break mixture into large pieces, and place in processor bowl; process until fluffy, but nor thawed.
Return mixture to pan; freeze until firm.
