Berry Smoothie

Smoothies are a great way to eat fruit and still feel like you are having a treat! You can also hide ingredients in a smoothie that the drinker might not get in their diet otherwise. (Flax, quinoa flakes, etc…) Watch the berry smoothie recipe video below and try it yourself!
  Apple juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Frozen blueberries 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Ice cubes 2 Large
  Strawberry gelato 2 Tablespoon
  Pomegranate juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Quinoa 2 Tablespoon

Combine all the ingredients in a blender.
Blend them until smooth.
Pour in a glass.

Hi OneMessyChef, can you please tell me what is quinoa flakes? Is it some kind of cereal? If I don't get it, is there any substitute for this ??

Quinoa is a small round grain. It is similar to rice. It's probably healthier, tastes milder and nuttier, and is very versatile. Quinoa flakes are simply flakes made from Quinoa. Some people serve them like oatmeal. We bought them at a health food store.

Hi OneMessy Chef, I think your berry smoothie is as sweet as you ! Hey, I'd like to ask you one thing, is strawberry gelato really required in this ?

Gelato is NOT required, it's a special treat. Our basic every-day smoothie is 1 cup strawberry yogurt + 1 banana. Then we add fun things from there.

Really cute recipe video and a very easy berry smoothie recipe to follow..keep smiling:-)))..i am thinking of adding some powdered oats in might work you know!!..Almonds or other dried nuts are only going to make the smoothie tastier!!!

Frozen fruit works better than dried fruit.
