Dr Oz Favorite Green Smoothie

Blenderbabes's picture
Learn how to make Dr Oz's 3 Day Detox drinks. His favorite green smoothie recipe (he calls it a shake, but really it's a green smoothie) combines high antioxidant berries (or you can substitute with tropical fruits such as mango or papaya), large amount of lightly flavored green (spinach!) and a non dairy milk. The e3live or spirulina, maca superfood, and plant based protein powder make this a pretty kick butt vegan green smoothie! As usual, we recommend a high powered blender such as a Vitamix or Blendtec to quickly and easily break down fruit & vegetable cell walls for maximum absorption in the body and for the smoothest of smoothies.
Ingredients
Almond milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Spinach 3 Cup (48 tbs) (organic spinach used)
  E3live/Spirulina 1 Tablespoon
  Plant based protein 2 Tablespoon
  Maca powder 1 Tablespoon
  Dates 2 , pitted
  Flax oil 1 Tablespoon
Blueberries 1 Cup (16 tbs) (fresh or frozen)
  Ice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

MAKING
1. In the vitamix combine the almond milk, spinach, E3live, plant based protein, maca powder, dates, flax oil, blueberries and ice.
2. Start off with speed 1 and slowly increase it to speed 10, flip it to high.
3. Blend for 45 seconds or until smooth to desired consistency, use the tamper if needed.

SERVING
4. Serve the Green Smoothie chilled.

NOTE
If using a blendtec press the smoothie button.
