Orange-Banana Smoothie

This beverage is not as sweet as many of the commercially available versions. If you want it sweeter, add a little extra orange juice concentrate
  Fortified soy milk/Other nondairy milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Calcium fortified orange juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Frozen banana 1⁄2 , cut or broken into chunks
  Ice cubes 5
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth and frothy.

Orange Julius is best served immediately. Leftovers may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 day or frozen for up to 1 week. Blend the mixture again before serving.
