Ground Round Mexicali
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
|Whipped margarine||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground sirloin/Round||1 Pound|
|Diced canned green chile peppers||2 Tablespoon|
|Sliced monterey jack cheese/Gruyere cheese||2 Ounce|
|Canned sweet peppers||4|
Saute onion in margarine until limp and golden brown, cooking slowly.
Shape meat into 4 patties and season with salt and pepper.
Place on a broiling pan and broil until browned on both sides, cooking until medium rare.
Remove from the oven and distribute onion and chile peppers over them.
Top with a slice of pineapple and the cheese.
Return to the oven and broil until cheese melts.
Top each patty with a red pepper.
Contains about 300 calories per serving.
