Ray Kidd's Boiled Shrimp
|Medium shrimp||5 Pound, unpeeled|
|Ground red pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Powdered seafood boil||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Creole seasoning||3 Tablespoon|
|Garlic powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Lemon||1 , halved|
|Celery stalk||3 , 3 inch pieces|
|Salt||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ice cubes||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1 In a large Dutch oven, bring water to a boil.
2 Add in the next 7 ingredients.
3 Return to a boil.
4 Remove from heat, and blend in salt.
5 Add ice cubes, just enough to stop the cooking process.
6 Allow to stand for 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
7 Drain well.
8 Serve immediately.
