Easy Broiled Shrimp
|Large shrimp in shells||2 Pound (Fresh / Frozen)|
|Frozen orange juice concentrate||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), frozen|
|Soy sauce||3 Tablespoon|
|Cooking oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Ground ginger||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
Thaw shrimp, if frozen. Remove shells and devein the fresh or thawed shrimp.
For marinade, combine orange juice concentrate, soy sauce, cooking oil, ground ginger, and garlic. Place shrimp in a plastic bag. Pour marinade over the shrimp; close bag. Marinate at room temperature about 1 hour, turning bag occasionally. Remove shrimp from marinade, draining shrimp well. Reserve the marinade.
To broil, place shrimp on the well-greased rack of an unheated broiler pan. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 4 minutes. Turn shrimp and brush with reserved marinade. Broil for 3 to 4 minutes more or till shrimp are done.
(Or, to grill, thread shrimp on skewers and grill over hot coals for 5 minutes. Turn and brush with reserved marinade. Grill for 5 to 6 minutes more or till done.)
