Grilled Shrimp

Ingredients
  Shrimp 32 Large, shelled and deveined
  Cognac/Dry white wine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground black pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Basil/Marjoram 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Thin ham strips/Half bacon slices 32
  Dry breadcrumbs 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), sifted
  Lemon wedges 4
Directions

1. Place the shrimp in a bowl, add cognac, salt, pepper and basil and marinate in refrigerator one hour or longer.
2. Wrap each shrimp in a strip of ham and string on skewers, allowing four or eight for each skewer.
3. Place in a preheated broiler about four inches from the source of the heat and cook until the fat of the ham is partially browned. Roll in the crumbs, return to the broiler and cook until golden brown.
