Fresh Shrimp In The Shell
|Canned beer||12 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Bay leaf||1 Small|
|Pickling spice||1 Teaspoon|
|Fresh shrimp in shell||1 Pound (Large Sized, 16 To 20 Shrimp Per Pound)|
1. In a deep 2-quart casserole with lid, combine beer, bay leaf and pickling spice. Cover and microwave at 100% (high) 3 to 4 minutes or until boiling.
2. Add shrimp. Microwave, uncovered, at 100% (high) 4 to 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink and are becoming opaque. Stir every 1 minute. Drain immediately.
3. Serve shrimp hot in the shell with melted butter. Or peel, devein and refrigerate shrimp. Serve as an appetizer with Seafood Cocktail Sauce, page 58, or use in salads or casseroles.
