Shortbread With Roasted Almonds
|Plain flour||185 Gram|
|Butter||125 Gram, chilled|
|Vanilla essence||5 Drop|
|Caster sugar||2 Tablespoon (For Sprinkling)|
|Chopped roasted almonds||2 Tablespoon|
Preheat oven to 150Â°C (300Â°F).
Place all ingredients in the work bowl and process until dough forms a ball, approximately 5-10 seconds, turning the processor on and off several times.
Do not over process.
Turn the pastry on to a floured surface and roll out to the diameter of the flan.
Place it in the flan and press down into a flat cake.
Prick the shortcake with a fork and bake for one hour in the oven.
Sprinkle with castor sugar and leave to cool.
