Scottish Shortbread With Currants

Buttery and crumbly, I learned how to make this from a Scottish bagpiper and his wife.
Ingredients
  Cooking butter 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vanila extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Flour 1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)
  Red currant 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Regular salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.

MAKING
2. Blend the unsalted butter, sugar and vanilla extract.
3. In a bowl, mix flour, currants and salt.
4. Add this to the butter mix and mix using hands.
5. Put the shortbread mix onto a pie pan and press down evenly.
6. Pop into the oven for 40 minutes.
7. Take it out and let the shortbread cool down completely.

SERVING
8. Slice and serve right away.
