|Butter||4 Ounce (100 Gram)|
|Plain flour||6 Ounce, sifted (175 Gram)|
|Caster sugar||1 Tablespoon (For Dusting)|
Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add the flour and stir until the mixture binds together.
Turn on to a lightly floured board and knead until smooth.
Roll out to a 20 cm / 8 inch round and place on a greased baking tray.
Pinch the edges with your fingers, prick well with a fork and mark into 8 portions.
Dust with caster sugar and bake it in a preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until pale and golden.
Leave on the baking tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
