|Castor sugar||1⁄4 Pound|
|Baking powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Vanilla essence||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Heat butter carefully till light brown and allow to cool.
When cool, add baking powder, flour, sugar and vanilla and knead very well.
Make into small round balls and place on a greased baking sheet and flatten them by pressing with the hand.
Bake at 300° F till pale brown.
