|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter stick||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), at room temperature (unsalted)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
1. Preheat the oven to 350°. In a large mixing bowl combine all dry ingredients.
2. Add the butter and vanilla and work them into the flour with a wooden spoon or your fingers until the mixture is crumbly.
3. Press the dough into a well-buttered 9-inch-square baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes until golden. Cool thoroughly before cutting into squares.
