|Shortening||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Part Butter Or Margarine)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), packed|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Flour||2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs) (Gold Medal)|
Heat oven to 300° (slow).
Mix shortening and sugars thoroughly.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Mix flour and salt; stir in.
Roll out 1/4" thick on floured cloth-covered board.
Cut in desired shapes.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 20 to 25 min.
