|Plain flour||8 Ounce|
|Icing sugar||1 1⁄2 Ounce|
|Rice||1 Tablespoon, ground|
Sift flour, sugar and ground rice into bowl.
Rub in butter and knead until mixture is smooth.
Roll mixture out to 1/4 in. thickness on lightly-floured board; cut into 2 in. rounds with cutter.
Place on ungreased trays, bake in moderate oven, Mark 4, 350°F., 15 to 20 minutes or until pale golden.
