Old Time Shortbread
|All purpose flour||3 Cup (48 tbs), sifted|
|Icing sugar||6 Tablespoon, sifted (1/2 Cup Plus 2 Tablespoon)|
|Brown sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Sweet butter||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Heat oven to 300 degrees.
Sift flour and icing sugar into bowl.
Add brown sugar and blend with fork.
Add butter and mix, first with fork then with fingers, until blended.
Knead gently in the bowl until smooth and velvety.
