Scotch Shortbread

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Pound (Must Be All Butter)
  Flour 1 Pound (1 Use Pastry Flour)
  Light brown sugar 6 Ounce
Directions

Mix well, and when it is the consistency of putty knead for about 20 minutes; then shape into cake of about 3/4-inch thickness.
Curl edges and prick well with fork all over.
Bake in oven for about 1 hour at 275 to 300° F.
Cut while hot.
