The 4 constituents of bread are flour, water, yeast, and salt. Flour should always be the first in the ingredients list.
Whole wheat flour bread has no white flour. It contains low fat content, more folic acid, iron, and other important minerals. It is a good source of fiber and zinc.
Wheat flour bread has 25% of whole wheat and 75% of wheat flour.
Whole wheat flour is not the only healthy flour of bread. Oat flour and buckwheat flour are some of the other healthy flour varieties.
Rye flour is other healthy flour used to make bread. This is high in protein and fiber. Bread made from rye flour is highly nutritious. The darker the rye, the higher is the fiber, iron, zinc, vitamin B and E and calcium contents in the bread.
Soy flour is another healthy bread making flour. It is high in proteins.
