I love this drink, but I use less sugar as I don't care for it so sweet. It is so nice to drink this ice cold on a hot day.

good recipe nisha.......In Ayurveda, the Indian System of Medicine, almond is considered a nutritive for brain and nervous system. It is said to induce high intellectual level and longevity. Almond oil is called Roghan Badam in both Ayurveda and Unani Tibb (the Greco-Persian System of Medicine). It is extracted by cold process and is considered a nutritive aphrodisiac both for massage and internal consumption. Recent studies have shown that the constituents of almond have anti-inflammatory, immunity boosting, and anti-hepatotoxicity effects

Yes ganesh i completely agree with you.Consuming 2-3 almonds as soon as you wake keeps you healthy alert and you wouldnt feel lethargic all through the is additional info on almonds and comparision with few other nuts Almonds have 40% of the USRDA of Vitamin E, 20% of Vitamin B2, and 20% dietary fiber. Almonds are high in monounsaturated fats (the "good" kind) and are known to help lower cholesterol. Many of the articles I've found suggest eating mixed nuts to get the advantages of each! "Almonds have slightly more vitamin E than walnuts, and much more magnesium. Walnuts, stand out as the only nut with an appreciable amount of alpha-linolenic acid, the only type of omega-3 fat you’ll find in a plant-based food. Peanuts (which technically are legumes) lead in the folate category. Cashews have even more magnesium than almonds (83 milligrams per ounce vs. 73) but they lag behind in vitamin E.
