This is a dish made to mark Sankarnt. It is very simple dish and needs least preparation but lot of practise for good results. Made with sesame seeds and jaggery it tastes yummy.
White sesame seeds
1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), lightly roasted till it is crisp & golden in color (Til)
1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), grated (Brown Cane Sugar, Adjust To Taste, Gud/Chiralela Gul)
1⁄4 Teaspoon (To Grease A Plate/Foil & Back Of The Spoon/Bowl /Flat Bottom Small)
Dry grated coconut
1 Tablespoon (Thode Kislele Khobare)
To make wadis or squares, Grease a plate with some ghee.
Take a heavy bottom pan and heat it.
Add jaggery to it. Let it melt.
Now add ghee and mix thoroughly.
Make sure heat is on low.
Add sesame seeds and mix nicely.
Turn off the heat. And mix it thoroughly.
Now pour it in the greased plate. Flatten it with a bowl greased at the bottom.
Form a thin layer. Make squares with a knife.
When it cools separate the sqaures and store or serve.
