Barbecued Sesame Short Ribs's picture
  Beef short ribs 3 Pound
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Soy sauce 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Minced gingerroot/1 teaspoon / 5 milliliter ground ginger 2 Tablespoon
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Liquid honey 2 Tablespoon
  Sesame oil 1 Tablespoon
  Sesame seeds 2 Tablespoon, toasted

In large saucepan, combine ribs, water, soy sauce, sugar, ginger and garlic; bring to boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer, turning ribs occasionally, for about 1 hour or until ribs are tender.
With slotted spoon, remove ribs and set aside.
To saucepan, add honey and sesame oil; bring to boil and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until sauce is reduced to 1 cup (250 mL).
Place ribs on greased grill over medium heat; cook, turning and basting occasionally with sauce, for 10 to 15 minutes or until glazed and browned.
