Sesame Seed Crisps

Ingredients
  Sesame seeds 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened
  Egg 1
  Unbleached flour 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Baking powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Heavy cream 2 Tablespoon
  Pure vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2. Place the seeds in a dry skillet and toast over medium heat, shaking occasionally, until light golden in color. Cool.3. Cream together the sugar, butter, and egg until very light and fluffy. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
4. Stir the sifted dry ingredients, cream, vanilla, and seeds into the creamed mixture.
5. Place by the teaspoon at least 2 inches apart on an oiled baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned around the edges and done. Cool on a wire rack.
