Poppy Seed Minute Bread

Ingredients
  Shortening 2 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Milk 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Whole wheat flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Poppy seeds 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
Butter a 9 x 5 x 3 inch (23 x 13 x 7 cm) loaf pan.
Set aside.
In a bowl, cream shortening.
Fold in sugar and egg.
In a second bowl, whip milk and vanilla extract.
Set aside.
In a third bowl, mix remaining ingredients.
Gradually fold in shortening, alternating with vanilla flavored milk.
Pour into pan.
Bake in oven 50-60 minutes or until crust turns golden brown.
Remove from oven.
Let cool 10 minutes before unmolding.
