Sesame Seed Snaps

Ingredients
  Granulated sugar 6 Ounce (About 175 Gram)
  Water 1⁄4 Pint (About 150 Milliliter)
  Golden syrup 4 Ounce (About 100 Gram)
  Powdered 1 Teaspoon
  Butter/Margarine 1 Ounce (About 25 Gram)
  Soda bicarbonate 1 Teaspoon
  Sesame seeds 4 Ounce (About 100 Gram)
Directions

Line a baking tray with non stick baking parchment.
Place the sugar, water, syrup and glucose in a large, heavy based saucepan.
Heat gently, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.
Bring to the boil and boil steadily to 150C/300F, stirring continuously.
Remove from the heat and stir in the butter or margarine and bicarbonate of soda; at this point the mixture will foam up.
Stir well, then add and stir in the sesame seeds.
Working quickly, pour the mixture on to the prepared tray.
Using a warm knife, spread it evenly over the surface of the tray.
Leave the mixture to set for 2-3 minutes, then mark it into 3.5 x 6 cm/1 1/2 x 2{ in pieces.
Break into pieces when completely cold.
