Clean the crabs.
Combine the salt and water in a large kettle and bring to a boil.
Drop the crabs in the boiling solution and boil for about 20 minutes.
Remove the edible meat, keeping the body and claw meat separate, if desired, for packaging.
Pack in freezer cartons to within 1/2 inch of the top.
Seal according to package directions and freeze.
Crabs should be used within 4 months after freezing.
