|Peeled cooked king prawns||15|
|Skinless plaice fillet||3|
|Skinless cod fillets||3|
|Skinless trout fillet||3|
|Sliced red onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (For Garnish)|
|Coriander sprigs||1 (For Garnish)|
|Lime slices/Lemon slices||4|
|Ginger paste||1 Teaspoon|
|Garlic paste||1 Teaspoon|
|Chili powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground coriander||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground cumin||1 Teaspoon|
|Chopped fresh coriander||1 Tablespoon|
|Corn oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
1. First make the marinade: in a large bowl, blend together all the ingredients with salt to taste.
2. Rinse the prawns and fish and pat dry. Cut the fish into bite-sized cubes. Place the pieces of fish and the prawns in the marinade, mix well and leave in the refrigerator, covered, either overnight or for at least 3 hours, stirring from time to time.
3. Prepare the barbecue well ahead to get it really hot. When ready to cook, remove the fish from the marinade and barbecue the pieces of fish and the prawns a few at a time, getting them nice and brown all over. Eat them as they come off the barbecue, accompanied by slices of lime or lemon and garnished with red onion and coriander.
