Scotch Betty

Scotch Betty is a delicious dessert recipe which I always love to have. I bet, once you have this, you will always crave for some more.
  Coarsely chopped peaches 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cinnamon 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Shortening/Oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Baking soda 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Flour 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Rolled oats 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)

Arrange peaches in buttered baking dish; sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with butter.
Combine melted shortening or oil & sugar.
Sift flour, salt and soda together; stir in oats.
Blend with sugar mixture, crumbling well with hands.
Add vanilla and spread over peaches.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
