|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||4 Teaspoon|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Egg||1 (Plus Milk Equaling 1 Cup)|
Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Cut in butter until crumbly.
Stir in handful of raisins or currants or cheese (optional).
Stir the egg in a measuring cup and add milk to it so the total in the cup equals 1 cup.
Stir with fork into the flour mixture until everything is moist.
Turn out onto floured surface and pat into 1 inch thickness.
Cut into approximately 2 inch rounds with cookie cutter.
Put onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 425Â°F for 12 minutes.
Cool on rack.
