|Plain white flour||8 Ounce|
|Salt||1⁄4 Teaspoon (Leveled)|
|Soda bicarbonate||1⁄2 Teaspoon (Leveled)|
|Cream of tartar||1 Teaspoon (Leveled)|
|Sugar||1 Tablespoon (Leveled)|
1. In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar.
2. Slowly add the sugar while beating continuously and then add the egg and milk to make a thick a batter.
3. Spoon out spoonfuls of the mixture on top of a lightly greased griddle or frying pan. Check the surface till bubbles appear on the surface, flip and then cook on the other side. Collect the cooked ones in a towel to keep it soft.
4. Serve immediately or pack in foil, with a sheet of Cellophane or greaseproof paper between layers.
