|Unsifted all purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Old fashioned rolled oats||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cream of tartar||1 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1 In a bowl, combine all the dry ingredients.
2 Cut in the shortening.
3 Pour in the milk, and mix to form a soft dough using a fork.
4 On a floured board, roll out the dough to 1/2 inch thickness.
5 Cut into triangles.
6 On a greased cookie sheet, arrange the triangles.
7 Bake in a preheated oven at 425 degrees fahrenheit for 15 minutes or until browned.
8 Serve warm.
