Gridle Scones

Ingredients
  Flour 5 Ounce (2/4 breakfast cups)
  Golden syrup 1 Teaspoon
  Cream of tartar 1 Teaspoon
  Buttermilk 2 Tablespoon
  Soda bicarbonate 1 Teaspoon
  Butter 1 Ounce
  Salt 1 Pinch
Directions

Sieve the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
Rub in the butter.
Add the syrup and mix to a soft consistency with the milk.
Turn onto a floured board and roll quickly.
Cut into shapes.
Grease and heat a girdle and cook scones on both sides.
Cooking time 10 mins.
