Baked Wholemeal Scones

Ingredients
  Unsifted meal/1 cup unsifted meal and 1 cup flour 2 Cup (32 tbs) (whole meal)
  Baking powder 4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Ground ginger 2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Butter 2 Ounce
  Shredded candied peel/Preserved ginger 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Mix the dry ingredients well together.
Rub in butter and add sugar and peel, or ginger.
Blend into a soft dough with the milk, which is added slowly.
Pat out the dough on a floured board and cut into shapes.
Brush over with milk.
Bake at 450° F for 10 minutes.
