Topping For Scones

This topping for scones is richly embellished with cherries and almonds and flavored with cinnamon and orange juice. Quick and easy to make, these are best served for lunch or tea!
Ingredients
  Flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Orange juice 1 Tablespoon
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Orange rind 1 Teaspoon, grated
  Chopped cherries and almonds 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Halve the cherries and chop the almonds.
Sieve the dry ingredients together.
Rub in the butter and add the orange rind, orange juice, chopped cherries and almonds.
Sprinkle this mixture over the dough and press well down.
Bake at 400° F for 25 - 30 minutes, or until done.
Cut into squares.
Serve hot for lunch, tea or breakfast.
