|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Powdered sugar||2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Sift flour; add baking powder, salt and sugar.
Sift again; rub in fat; add enough milk to make soft dough.
Knead dough gently until it is smooth.
Turn out on lightly floured board.
Roll out about 1/3 inch thick; cut into 4 inch squares; cut each diagonally in half.
Place scones on a greased baking sheetjbrush with milk-butter mixture; sprinkle some sugar.
Bake in a hot oven (210°C) 15 to 20 minutes.
