1 In a bowl, mix egg, milk, and melted Crisco.
2 In another bowl, mix the dry ingredients.
3 Combine with the egg mixture, beating until smooth.
4 In the batte, dip the scallops and drain off the excess.
5 In a pan heat deep Crisco to 375°.
6 Cook the scallops until browned, about 2 to 3 minutes.
7 Drainwell on paper toweling.
8 Excellent with tartar sauce.
