Oven Fried Scallops

Taste this wonderfully prepared Oven Fried Scallops - an excellent way to make an ordinary meal great! This ordinary, yer extra scrumptious recipe of Oven Fried Scallops is thus a must try!
Ingredients
  Scallops 1 Pound
  Salt and pepper 1
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Water 2 Tablespoon
  Bread crumbs 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Shortening 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), melted
Directions

If scallops are large, cut into cubes of about 3/4 inch size.
Season with salt and pepper.
Beat egg and water together.
Dip scallops in egg, crumbs and then into melted shortening.
Place in a shallow baking dish.
Bake in a hot oven (450°F.) 20 to 25 minutes.
