Barbecued Scallops

Ingredients
  Scallops 24 Large
  Bacon rashers 12 , hickory smoked
  Onion 125 Milliliter, minced
  Canola oil 45 Milliliter
  Tomato sauce 250 Milliliter
  Water 80 Milliliter
  Lemon juice 45 Milliliter
  Worcestershire sauce 10 Milliliter
  Tabasco sauce 3 Milliliter
  Basil leaves 5 Milliliter
  Chili powder 3 Milliliter
  Paprika 3 Milliliter
  Thyme 3 Milliliter
  Pepper 3 Milliliter
  Salt 3 Milliliter
Directions

Wash and pat dry the scallops.
Slice the bacon in half.
Wrap one scallop with a piece of bacon.
Skewer six scallops on bamboo skewers.
Broil on a grill or in the oven for 10 minutes, turning frequently.
Saute the onions in a small pan with the oil.
Add the remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Brush scallops with sauce.
Serve at once.
