Scallops On Skewers

Ingredients
  Scallops 1 Pint (Fresh Or Quick-Frozen)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Boiling water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Melted butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Bacon slices 4 , cut in squares
Directions

1. Wash the scallops, cook them in boiling salted water 2 minutes. Drain thoroughly.
2. Dip each scallop in melted butter or margarine. Place scallops and squares of bacon alternating on 4 small metal skewers.
3. Place them on the rack in the broiling oven and broil 5 to 7 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp at the edges. Serve 1 hot skewer to each guest.
4. To eat, loosen the scallops and bacon with a fork onto a plate. Chili sauce or catsup are good accompaniments.
