Spicy Scallops

Ingredients
  Scallops 1 1⁄2 Pound (Fresh Or Quick-Frozen)
  Boiling water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Lemon juice 4 Tablespoon
  Mayonnaise 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Marjoram 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Buttered toast slices 6
Directions

1. Rinse the scallops, place in a saucepan, add the boiling water and boil 5 minutes. Drain; reserve the liquid. With kitchen scissors cut the scallops in quarters.
2. Melt the butter or margarine, add the flour and stir until well blended; add the scallop liquid with the lemon juice and simmer; stir until the sauce is thick and smooth.
3. Lower the heat, add the mayonnaise, marjoram and scallops. Heat until the mixture steams; do not let it boil.
