Stuffed Baked Franks
Slit 5 or 6 large frankfurters (1 pound) lengthwise almost to opposite side.
Cook 1/4 cup minced onion in 1 tablespoon butter till tender.
Mix 2 cups herb seasoned stuffing mix, the onion, 3/4 cup water, 1/4 cup catsup, and 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish.
Mound stuffing into slit franks.
Place on baking sheet.
Cover; refrigerate up to 24 hours.
Bake at 400Â° for 10 to 15 minutes.
Cut 3 slices sharp process American cheese into strips.
Top franks with cheese strips; bake till cheese melts, about 3 minutes.
Makes 5 or 6 servings.
