|Red food color||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Red tart apples||3 , cored and cut into 0.5-inch rings|
|Pork sausage links||1 Pound|
In skillet, heat 1 cup water, the cinnamon can-dies and few drops red food color until candies are melted.
Place apple rings in syrup; cook slowly, turning occasionally, about 20 minutes or until tender.
Place links in another skillet; add 3 tablespoons water.
Cover tightly; cook slowly 8 minutes.
Uncover; cook, turning sausages until well browned.
To serve, insert hot sausage link in center of each apple slice.
