Sausages And Franks
|Heat and serve sausage patties||8 Ounce (1 package)|
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Vegetable beef soup mix||1 Ounce (1 envelope)|
|Hot mashed potatoes||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Crumbled whole wheat wafers||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1 Cut each sausage patty into about 10 small pieces; brown, stirring frequently, in a medium-size skillet.
Blend in flour; cook, stirring constantly, just until bubbly.
Stir in water and soup mix; continue cooking and stirring until gravy thickens and boils for 5 minutes.
2 Line bottom and sides of a buttered deep 6-cup baking dish with 3 cups of the mashed potatoes.
Spoon in sausage and gravy; spoon remaining potatoes in mounds over top; sprinkle with crumbled wafers.
3 Bake in moderate oven (350Â°) 45 minutes, or until bubbly-hot.
Sprinkle with finely cut parsley, if you wish.
